The members and staff of city law firm KSB Law LLP have joined Davies Arnold Cooper. This adds significant resource to Davies Arnold Cooper's existing real estate, employment, corporate and dispute resolution practices, and a new capability in private client law. In total more than 60 lawyers and support staff will join Davies Arnold Cooper.

 

Danny Gowan, senior partner of Davies Arnold Cooper commented: "The synergies between KSB Law's practice and our practice are strong, particularly within real estate and employment. We will be able to offer an enhanced service to KSB Law's existing clients, which will provide us with excellent growth opportunities. We will also be able to achieve significant operational efficiencies in respect of property and overhead costs."

KSB Law's London-based lawyers moved into Davies Arnold Cooper's Bouverie Street office during the Christmas period, following the St Albans office staff who joined earlier in December. Davies Arnold Cooper intends to develop the office in St Albans as a base for serving clients, particularly in the real estate and construction sectors, who operate in the South East but from outside central London. Expanding the St Albans office will complement continuing growth of real estate and construction practices within Davies Arnold Cooper's Manchester office.

 

Gowan also reinforced that Davies Arnold Cooper intends to continue to grow significantly over coming years: "Davies Arnold Cooper is ambitious and will continue to look for team acquisitions and other opportunities. We are also pleased that the number of enquiries we receive from potential lateral hires is increasing, and we have several more senior lawyers joining us over coming months."

 

The acquisition will increase Davies Arnold Cooper's annual revenue to close to £40m and its total number of fee earners to over 200.
